Dr. Bimal Shah received his medical graduation at the University of Mumbai, Grant Medical College & Sir J. J. Group of hospitals and post-graduate training in General Surgery at the G. S. Medical College & K. E. M. group of hospitals. He subsequently was appointed as a Lecturer in the Department of Surgery at G. S. Medical College, where he undertook clinical teaching to under graduate and post graduate students. He has been active in day care surgery and the rapidly growing discipline of minimal access surgery/ laparoscopy. He has visited US & Singapore for further training in various sub specialties of General surgery like hernia surgery, laparoscopy surgery, breast cancer surgery, proctology, varicose vein surgery & trauma management.
